Canadian River is inspired by the six months I spent in Canada in my early twenties, a period that had a lasting influence on the way I look at landscapes.
It was there, surrounded by vast forests, rivers and open spaces, that I really started photography. I began paying more attention to light, atmosphere and the quiet moments found in nature, things that still shape the way I paint today.
This painting is less about one specific place than about the memory of that time: cold water, endless wilderness, and the feeling of discovering a new landscape with fresh eyes.
