Living close to a lake has naturally influenced the landscapes I paint.

I’m often drawn to simple compositions like this one: a path, still water and the last light of the day. There is something familiar and peaceful about this kind of scene.

With this painting, I wanted to focus on the sunset and the way its warm light transforms the landscape for a few minutes before night arrives.

Lac oublié is about that quiet connection I have with lakeside landscapes, and the calm they continue to bring me.
