Some places stay with you simply because of the moments you spent there.
This painting reminds me of a place called Saint Anne, in Provence, a spot where I used to go often with friends. A simple place to sit, talk, watch the light change and spend time together.
With this painting, I wanted to keep only what mattered: a bench, a solitary tree and the last light of the day.
Le Spot is about those familiar places that become important over time, not because they are extraordinary, but because of the memories attached to them.
